Solana is preparing for the largest upgrade in its history

Developers from Anza (a division of Solana Labs) presented the Alpenglow update for a complete overhaul of the network's underlying protocol.

The goal of the update is to radically improve the speed, scalability, and reliability of the Solana blockchain.
