The Dogecoin (DOGE) community maintains its enthusiasm. On forums like Reddit, for example, investors insist on holding (keeping and not selling) despite market fluctuations.

Memes flood the forums, seeking to reinforce, through humor, the morale of Dogecoin holders, who anticipate a surge that they believe will surpass the all-time highs of 2021 when the cryptocurrency exceeded USD 0.70.

Reddit is one of the epicenters of messages of support, sobriety, and sanity for a community that resorts to graphics to express the concern and expectation generated by the uncertain future of the most valuable meme cryptocurrency.

Among the comments found in the Dogecoin Reddit forum are those from investors who appeal to accumulating coins as a way to stay united in community. While others mock the stress that comes with being a trader of a digital asset like DOGE.

"DOGE will be fine. It is one of the original top 5 cryptocurrencies," says someone identifying as 'Emergency-Warthog-56' on Reddit. Something that user 'd1eselx' agrees with, stating: "I don't listen to much noise and just hold." “Being one of the original 5 cryptocurrencies for over 10 years, I’ve simply enjoyed the dog, the memes, and the coin,” he commented.

An 'original' cryptocurrency

Dogecoin, also known by its ticker DOGE, was born in 2013 as a joke. Created by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, it was inspired by the Shiba Inu dog meme, aiming to mock the speculative frenzy surrounding cryptocurrencies. Unlike Bitcoin (BTC), with its limited supply, DOGE is intentionally abundant, adding 10,000 coins per minute with no maximum cap.
