Market psychology: how not to be a newbie 🐹
So, let's go. This will not be about technical analysis, but about why you bought at the highs again and then sold at a loss. Yes, yes, I did that too. More than once. And here's what I understood...
1. Fear and greed – two fabulous whores.
They control the market. Not analytics, not news, not the moon in Jupiter.
Fear and greed.
When there's fear in the market – everyone runs around like cockroaches after the light. They sell at a loss because "that's it, it's over", "the project isn't right", "I'll think about it, maybe I'll buy cheaper later". Uh-huh, you'll buy... but no.
When the market rises – suddenly everyone becomes a confident genius.
"This is a rocket! I'm going all in!"
In a couple of days – a drop, panic, and... back to square one. Brilliant. Right?
2. 90% of traders are in the red. You're not an exception.
Do you know who makes money on this carousel? About 10%. And it's not because they read the moon or do candle magic.
They just do the opposite.
When everything is red, like a face after a fiasco – they buy. When everything is green and they sing "To the moon" – they sell. That's the whole secret, baby.
3. A lesson from Grandpa Rothschild.
Remember his words:
> "Buy when there's blood in the streets."
And this is not a metaphor. When everyone is in panic, when the chats are silent, and no one is messaging you – that's when you should be in ambush. Wait. Don't rush. And take it when it's scary. Not the other way around, like 90% of "investors" do on emotions.
4. Don't buy when it's green 🟢
This is my favorite. When the candle is green, everyone's enthusiasm lights up:
"I'm buying before it flies away!" And then – bam! And it's red. And you're sitting there thinking: "Why did I?...
Here's a rule for you:
> Never buy when it's green. Even if you really want to.
Wait for a pullback. The price will be better. And you will be great.
5. The most common question when the market is rising.
Seriously. When everything is flying up – I start getting messages:
"What to buy? What's trending right now?"
And when the market is down – silence. Even the echo is quiet.
So, if you asked this question in a green market – maybe you're a newbie. Don't take it personally. I was too. The main thing is to stop being one. Think for yourself. Don't get swayed by emotions. The market is not about luck. It's hell, discipline, and patience.
P.S. Don't buy when it's green, okay? $BTC
