Last week, the MapleStory blockchain game exploded in popularity, but to be honest, I don't think it can operate long-term like BigTime. Several reasons:
1. Since its launch, there have been numerous issues, such as client crashes, failure to receive verification codes, and a poor user experience.
2. The yield has been declining steadily, and the team has slowed down the pace, lacking the effect of earning money and creating wealth.
3. The initial market value was inflated, and it simply cannot be sustained moving forward.
4. The IP influence is limited and it is not a nostalgic IP for the Chinese audience.
5. Buying frenzy lasted only a day, and it quickly became weak afterward.
6. Users attracted by massive token distributions have almost no value.
For blockchain games to truly explode, they still need to rely on native Web3 games; any shortcomings could be fatal.
