In 2013, a group of visionaries from Ocean Builders had a crazy, yet brilliant idea: to buy a paradise island in the South Pacific and turn it into an Eden for cryptocurrency lovers! They named it "Bitcoin Island" and dreamed of building a utopian society where Bitcoin would be the official currency.
Imagine! White sandy beaches, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and everyone paying for their coconuts and massages with cryptocurrencies. Paradise on Earth! But as often happens with ideas that are too good to be true, things didn't turn out as they expected. Apparently, buying an island isn't as easy as it seems (who would have thought?).
Problems started popping up like mushrooms after rain: permits, local laws, and the million-dollar question: where do we put all these people? In the end, "Bitcoin Island" remained a wet dream, but the story is too epic not to tell.
