my unsolicited mooooovement 2c

move team (& chain) are mostly and unfortunately collateral damage in all of this imo, people on that team spoke with more joy and excitement for their jobs than i ever saw anyone do at any modern rollup or svm or etc

talk to the ecosystem guy or devrel or x-exec at the 126th caldera rollup then talk to one of these guys and you'll know what i mean. for the most part the former are dead inside and know exactly what they've gotten themselves into, most of them illustrate quite literally negative excitement. at least the dozen or so i got to chat with had, at the very least, definitely drank their own kool aid and spoke to you like they were excited and *trying* to do something

you can say another move chain is dumb too and ok maybe meritable point idk this is all kinda subjective particularly in the current chain-launch-landscape considering we have a billion evm rollups and dozens of svms already and this is like the third move chain. i havent thought long enough on it but i'd be inclined to say i would argue there was much more merit to launching the movement chain than nearly just about any other chain thats launched in the last year. insert technical argument mumbo jumbo yeah yeah ok all im sayin' is doesn't feel like a strong argument to say how could we launch **ANOTHER** move chain when there are like, three

i haven't followed anything really only seen headlines and this isn't saying anything about the project, other than:

if someone comes across your desk one day that has work experience at movement labs that you should not let all this mumbo jumbo influence or impact your perception of them and in fact i think a lot of people there are probably people you'd most likey want to hire

ultimately, i think most of them just simply, believed in something.
