Legendary Bitcoin Wallet Takes Action: Mysterious $1.17 Million Transfer
An unidentified Bitcoin (BTC) user sent 26.9 BTC, equivalent to $1.17 million, to the Genesis wallet, the first wallet created by Satoshi Nakamoto on the Bitcoin network.
This unusual transaction attracted attention, especially because of the transfer from an empty wallet.
The $100 transaction fee added during the transaction was recorded as a fairly high amount compared to average fees. The source of the relevant funds could be traced to a wallet associated with Binance through analysis by blockchain analysis platform Arkham Intelligence.
Coinbase director Conor Grogan, in his comment regarding this transaction on the social media platform Grogan also stated that this anonymous transfer could be an interesting marketing strategy for a Bitcoin ETF.
