The price of Bitcoin has more growth potential than gold, thanks to cryptocurrency-specific catalysts and increasing institutional adoption, writes Decrypt, citing a report from JPMorgan Bank, which forecasts that in the second half of 2025, Bitcoin will surpass the precious metal in returns.
In 2025, the price of gold showed one of the strongest growth dynamics. Since the beginning of January, the asset has grown by more than 22%, outpacing major stock indices tracking the prices of American companies—S&P 500 and NASDAQ100, which showed growth of up to 2% during the same period, according to TradingView data as of May 16. During this time, Bitcoin increased by 11%, reaching $104,100 (10:20 MSK).
