Why I believe the Altseason 2025-26 will reflect 2017-18

Every time I study the altcoin charts, I have a strong feeling of déjà vu. It really seems that the upcoming Altseason of 2025-26 will unfold very similarly to what we saw in 2017-18.

Let me explain why I think that:

First, Trump was president during the 2017-18 cycle, and it seems like history could repeat itself.

Back then, altcoins did not rise in the first quarter, and we are seeing the same trend this time.

The Fed was not doing Quantitative Easing (QE) during that cycle, and just like then, it is not doing QE now either.

Meanwhile, China was doing QE during 2017-18, and guess what? That is also happening again.

Putting all this together, I am quite confident that altcoins are gearing up for a prolonged rally that will start in the second quarter, with a likely peak in the first quarter of 2026.

Let's see how everything unfolds, but if history is any guide, all the signs are there.
