Why do newcomers keep pouring into the cryptocurrency world?
Because this place allows you to use five hundred as if it's fifty thousand.
This is the closest ordinary people can get to wealthy individuals. Wealthy people have more money and leverage, while ordinary people have less money and face many restrictions in other markets, or cannot meet high thresholds.
These restrictions are falsely labeled as protection, but when a gambler is about to lose all their money, what protection is there?
When you only have five hundred, what can you invest in? Save it? Treat yourself to something nice? Or buy some low-priced stocks?
The possibility of being liquidated with leverage is very high; no one can predict market trends, only speculate and estimate. Of course, more people are guessing and gambling. But for ordinary people, at least there’s a chance, a hope.
Why do so many people buy lottery tickets knowing they won't win? Being foolish is one aspect, but they can't calculate the return rate. Many people see the lottery as a hope for life. The little money spent on lottery tickets doesn't really help improve life, but if they win, it could completely change their current situation. It's the same as trading with high leverage in cryptocurrencies.
For wealthy individuals, using leverage is more comfortable. They can even enjoy profits without taking on risks. As long as they go long in cryptocurrency and keep the actual leverage below 1, it's hard to be liquidated (if you go long in stablecoins and short in cryptocurrencies, you won't be liquidated). With the premise that cryptocurrency prices will always rise, it’s possible to keep earning more money (because spot trading = 1x long already carries risks).
