The initiative aims to make Ethereum the most secure and reliable blockchain, even surpassing traditional financial systems. The goal is to achieve what the Ethereum Foundation calls "Trillion Dollar Security", a state in which:

Billions of individuals feel comfortable storing at least US$ 1.000 on-chain, resulting in trillions of dollars protected on the Ethereum network. Companies, institutions, and governments trust the network to store more than US$ 1 trillion in a single smart contract or application. This vision reflects Ethereum's ambition to become a global-scale infrastructure, capable of supporting decentralized finance (DeFi), institutional transactions, and other critical applications, with security comparable to or superior to legacy systems.
