While many still doubt the future of cryptocurrencies in real life… Mastercard has just taken a step that does not go unnoticed: it announced, alongside MoonPay, the global launch of cards that will allow the use of stablecoins like USDC in more than 150 million merchants that accept Mastercard.
The novelty is not the possibility of paying with crypto (we have already been doing this with solutions like Lemon, Belo, or similar), but now it is Mastercard itself that is taking the lead, without the need for fintech intermediaries. Directly from your crypto wallet to the purchase.

📌 Here at home, we have already been experimenting with this type of payment for a while, even with cashback at $BTC , so this does not catch us off guard… but it does leave us a clear signal: a strong race is coming between the giants (Mastercard vs Visa) to conquer the crypto territory.
