The Ethereum Foundation announced the launch of the 'Trillion Dollar Security Program', aimed at comprehensively enhancing the security of the Ethereum ecosystem across multiple levels such as user experience, wallets, smart contracts, infrastructure, and consensus protocols. Below is an introduction to the relevant aspects of this program:
- Objective: To advance the safe management of assets on-chain for users, supporting institutions and governments to host trillion-dollar value on Ethereum through three main directions: full-stack security risk assessment, key area improvements, and more transparent information dissemination.
- Implementation Method: Funding will be provided through the Ethereum Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) to encourage global researchers and developers to participate. Support will cover various aspects such as security improvements for key clients, formal verification, fuzz testing, vulnerability bounty programs, and community security education.
- Collaborators: The foundation will collaborate with experts within the ecosystem such as samczsun, Mehdi Zerouali, and others to promote the implementation of this program.
