$BTC 82% of bitcoins are stored in wallets with 10 BTC or more.
According to analysts at Santiment, wallets with 10 BTC or more (over $1 million) control 82% of the total bitcoin supply. Wallets containing 100 BTC or more, valued at over $10 million, hold more than 60% of the total supply.
Santiment notes that these groups of wallets are primarily held by "small institutional investors," while addresses containing more than 100 BTC belong to "institutional investors and liquidity providers (except, of course, very large retail wallets)."
About 3.47 million bitcoins remain in wallets holding less than 10 BTC. Analysts believe whether this smaller group will continue to hold or sell their assets will depend on future market sentiment.
