According to BlockBeats report, on May 15, the dominance of the Bitcoin market significantly decreased, sparking hopes for an altcoin season. Alphractal CEO Joao Wedson expects a full-blown altcoin season in June.

Bitcoin's dominance dropped from about 65% to 62%, ending a five-month upward trend. The total market capitalization of the crypto market increased from $2.9 trillion to $3.24 trillion.

Wedson noted that investor interest has shifted towards alternative coins, and the altcoin season has begun, with Bitcoin's dominance expected to decline rapidly in the coming months. His altcoin season index shows that out of 57 altcoins, 37 outperformed BTC.
