#Balochistan :- Balochistan's quest for independence from Pakistan is a longstanding issue, with roots dating back to 1947 when the region was forcibly annexed by Pakistan. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, JUI-F chief, recently warned that 5-7 districts in Balochistan might declare independence, which could lead to international recognition. The Baloch people have been fighting for freedom, citing brutal military offensives, enforced disappearances, and exploitation of natural resources without benefiting the local population. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has exacerbated tensions, with locals feeling marginalized and excluded from economic benefits ¹ ².
