If You Don’t Have Patience, You Shouldn’t Be Holding Crypto
Recently, I deposited over $BNB 3,300 into my trading account and decided to invest in cryptocurrency. I chose Solana and bought 15 $SOL
SOL at $140 each. At the time, I felt confident in my decision. But as anyone familiar with this market knows, things can change quickly.
Not long after my purchase, the price of Solana started to drop. Panic set in. Worried about further losses, I converted my holdings into USDT, taking a loss of around $423. I convinced myself it was better to accept a smaller loss than risk a bigger one.
But then, as if to test my resolve, Solana began to rise shortly after I sold. Today, it's trading around $180. Watching the price climb after I exited my position was a tough pill to swallow.
This experience taught me a hard but valuable lesson: if you don't have patience, you shouldn't be holding any crypto. Volatility is part of the game, and those who make decisions based on short-term emotions often end up on the losing side.
Patience isn't just a virtue in crypto—it's the foundation of successful holding and long-term profitability. Next time, I’ll think twice before making an emotional exit. In this space, time and trust in your decisions can make all the difference.
