According to the US-China trade agreement in May 2025, both parties agreed to temporarily reduce each other's tariffs within 90 days: the United States will lower the tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, while China will lower the tariffs on American goods from 125% to 10%. Additionally, the "de minimis" policy for low-value goods has also been adjusted, with the United States reducing the tariffs on small packages from China from 120% to 54%. These measures aim to ease bilateral trade tensions and create favorable conditions for further negotiations.

However, these tariff adjustments are only temporary measures for a period of 90 days. If a new agreement is not reached during this period, tariffs may revert to their previous high levels. Therefore, businesses and consumers still need to closely monitor the progress of future trade negotiations.
