The first head of Binance was the company's founder Changpeng Zhao - better known in the crypto community as CZ. He had long been involved in software development for trading futures on Wall Street.
In 2005, Zhao left his position as head of the research and development team at Bloomberg Tradebook Futures and moved to Shanghai, where he founded Fusion Systems. After becoming acquainted with Bitcoin, he worked at Blockchain.info as Chief Technology Officer and on other projects.
