Data from the U.S. April CPI shows that inflationary pressures continue to ease. Overall CPI rose 2.3% year-on-year, the lowest since February 2021, and increased 0.2% month-on-month. Core CPI rose 2.8% year-on-year and increased 0.2% month-on-month. In terms of components, prices for non-essential services and some goods decreased, while prices for imported goods such as furniture increased.
