Ethereum Blasts Past $2,500 — Is $3K the Next Target?
$ETH Ethereum price surged beyond $2,350. ETH is up over 35% and consolidating gains around $2,500.
Ethereum broke above the $2,350 resistance again.
The price is holding over $2,400 and the 100-hour SMA.
On the hourly ETH/USD chart, a bullish trend line is forming near $2,480 support.
The pair might gain if it breaks above $2,600 resistance.
Ethereum Price Soars Above $2,500
Ethereum remained steady and moved past $2,200, outperforming Bitcoin. ETH pushed through the $2,350 resistance with strong momentum. Bulls cleared the $2,500 level, with price rising over 35%, reaching a high near $2,606.
There was a brief dip below the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the $2,272 swing low to $2,606 high. Still, ETH holds firm above $2,500 and the 100-hour SMA. A key bullish trend line connects near $2,480.
Resistance now sits at $2,550. A close above $2,600 may open the doors to $2,620 and possibly $2,650. If $2,650 breaks, the price could surge toward $2,720 or even $2,780 in the next sessions.
Are ETH Dips Limited?
If Ethereum fails to clear $2,550, it could start a correction. First support is seen near $2,470. Major support lies at $2,440 — the 50% Fib retracement of the $2,272 to $2,606 move.
A strong break below $2,440 might send ETH toward $2,350. If losses extend, $2,270 and $2,220 will be the next key support zones.
