#TradeWarEases Overview of the US-China Trade Agreement

The US has decided to cut down tariffs on Chinese products from 145% to 30% over the next 90 days, while China will also reduce its tariffs on US goods from 125% to 10%.

To improve long-term cooperation and fix deeper economic issues, both countries have agreed to start a new economic dialogue platform.

Markets reacted positively after the news came out—S&P 500 futures jumped by 2.8%, the dollar went up by 0.7%, and gold prices dropped by 2.3%.

Before this agreement, the US had imposed tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports earlier in 2025, and China responded with its own 125% tariffs, which led to rising trade tensions.
