It seems that aiming to return to the prices of December is extremely ambitious. I mean, of course, the ALTCOINS; with BITCOIN there is no such conflict. With BITCOIN, there is certainty: simply, as time goes by, it will become more expensive because it is scarcer and more valued.
Notice that, from the pitiful price that ALTCOINS have after fall after fall since January 31, 2025, it seems taken for granted that the new mini ALTCOIN SEASON is about percentages and not prices. The truth is that the newer coins have been the most benefited from the rises of the last 72 hours; they simply haven't had time to fall like AVAX or BANANA 🍌 GUN did. Others, like ARWEAVE, have shown different behavior. The latter is a token for which I have special admiration for its narrative: the money obtained from its sale is used to fund a memory bank of the planet 🌍 in case of a global extinction event, something that seems straight out of a science fiction movie. But it's not fiction—never has the planet been as threatened as it has been in recent years since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The truth is that AR was traded in double digits since its launch or shortly after. Who could have thought it would reach four dollars per token? Who can say that at least it will recover the 20 dollars? It's an exponential increase, and I don't see it. It might get close to 9 or 10 dollars. So, after this epileptic spike of BITCOIN, we will soon head into a long bearish period as bad as the one we lived through. That's why it's crucial to take profits and keep liquidity for the upcoming winter.
Next week will be crucial for a new all-time high for BITCOIN, although today it was showing signs of wanting to pull back, maybe even to 100k or 99k dollars. If it does, it shouldn't alarm anyone: it still has enough volume to continue rising. If wars and other global events don't bring down the price of BITCOIN and extreme GREED persists, we might see it at 110k dollars. That would be a new all-time high, and at that moment the ALTCOINS should indeed rise.
In October, when BITCOIN began its rise, we entered a crisis because the ALTCOINS were not reacting. Today I've seen MUBARAK, a meme coin, achieve a 71% increase in its price. The top three places were occupied by newly listed coins, and even the almost extinct XAI received its price increase. It seems like they are called each day to increase in price. I'm talking about substantial increases in percentage terms.
The other thing is that, as you take profits from a coin 🪙, it then becomes difficult to re-enter. The risk of replacing that position is high because you sold at a price that exceeded the purchase price. Then you hesitate, you wonder if by buying it again you won't get trapped after a correction or a BITCOIN crash.
When FOMO and GREED invade us, we romanticize the market. A dangerous bond is created between it and us; we convince ourselves that it has changed and that it will never let us fall or take our money again. In love with the false idea that the market 💹 will grow indefinitely, and with all the snake oil salesmen feeding our greed, we stop selling, thinking that our fortune is just around the corner. It is at that moment when the market, like a thief in the night, takes everything from us, throwing it to ridiculously low prices and leaving us trapped until the next time BITCOIN decides to rise with the promise of an all-time high.
I don't know what you all think when you see the YouTube thumbnails that say: "The bull run has started", "We will be millionaires". I find it hard to believe that we all know our coins will go to the moon and that we don't sell the house to multiply our money and achieve a small fortune. If I were a YouTuber and had insider information that allowed me to know that AVAX would reach 30 dollars, I would leave the channel and focus on finding money to buy all the coins I could.
If a bank takes you in and you tell them you need a loan to buy a cryptocurrency because you are certain that this coin will increase tenfold in price, the bank advisor or manager would immediately call the police or the mental hospital. It's like saying: "I come from the future, and here are the all-time highs of cryptocurrencies with their respective dates". Sad for me: surely, I won't go to National Geographic; I’ll go straight to the psychiatric hospital.
Still, don't forget to take profits and avoid getting trapped. I myself am a slave to my emotions… and who isn't? Probably a psychopath. Things one starts to think about.
