One of the most common questions when you're starting in crypto (and which haunts me all the time) is:
👉 Should I sell when the price goes up or is it better to keep holding?
At first, I thought the best thing was to always hold. But with time and what I've learned, I see that there is no single correct answer. It all depends on each person's goal, the market moment... and how much anxiety you can handle. 😅
🔍 What have I learned so far?
If you sell everything at once as soon as it rises a bit, you might miss out on a much bigger increase.
But ifyou never sell, you can also see how a gain turns into a loss if the market falls sharply afterward.
That's why many recommend a strategy that seems quite logical to me:
Sell in parts.
Example:
You invested 100 USDT.
When your investment rises by 50%, you take out the first 30-40.
You recover part or all of your capital, and leave the rest 'playing'.
This way you secure a part, and if it keeps rising, great.
And if it drops, at least you've taken something out and didn't leave empty-handed.
🎯 My conclusion (for now)
I'm still learning, but I feel that the important thing is to have a plan before buying.
Know when you want to sell, why, and don't decide just because you saw a green candle or because someone said, 'It's going to go up more!'.
Sometimes, selling is not giving up, but respecting your strategy.
And other times, holding is not enduring like a hero, but believing in the long term.
💬 How do you handle it?
Do you sell on the rises or do you prefer to wait?
