#StripeStablecoinAccounts
Stripe has launched stablecoin accounts in over 100 countries, this new feature allows customers to send, receive, and hold balances in stablecoins in US dollars, similar to a traditional bank account.
Supported stablecoins include USDC and USDB from Bridge, a company acquired by Stripe in October 2024.
The service is designed for emerging markets and excludes regions such as the United States and Western Europe.
The demand for stablecoins has increased significantly, with a market capitalization exceeding 231 billion dollars in May 2025.
