According to the website, which is the Arabic version of the platform specialized in news about digital currencies and blockchain, the Saudi Central Bank has not announced any plans to issue a national digital currency, despite developments in the #Aaber project for interbank transfers using blockchain technology.
It is noted that Saudi Arabia is studying central bank digital currencies (CBDC) as part of Vision 2030, but it has not made a final decision.
