$USDC Lessons learned from losing 350u reveal the scam of paying first and then receiving u, or cash transactions in person. I am out of the loop.
Now there is a type of online scam that buys u at high prices, where you pay first and then receive u; let me reveal this to novice friends.
First, the scammer will post ads on Twitter and various programs, telling you that they buy u at a very high price and support paying first and then u, cash transactions, etc. Once you contact them, your u will be ready to be stolen.
First, the scammer will make you buy b from an exchange platform and then ask you to withdraw to your private wallet. (This wallet can be wb3 from Ouyi, or Coinbase Wallet), then the scammer will ask you to try with a small amount, like 10u or 20u, and then, for the sake of currency protection, will ask you to convert it; once you have made the conversion, they will ask you to send them the screenshot; at that moment, you will see that a fake coin will appear in your wallet, which could be usdc, Japanese yen, bitcoin, etc., they are actually fake contract coins; if you believe what the scammer says and make the conversion, you send them the screenshot and then they will transfer you the money.
