Wipe away the tears, endure the pain of a broken hand, and share some recent painful lessons from trading Alpha volume.
When trading Alpha volume, you must choose an uptrend; otherwise, you won't get your capital back. Even so, there will still be times when you encounter a waterfall; at that point, you must decisively exit, or the losses will be completely uncontrollable.
A few days ago, in a Gork trade, I chose to enter while it was consolidating, expecting a drawdown of within 0.5u. But as soon as I entered, it started to drop. Holding onto a glimmer of hope that it would come back, I ended up with a floating loss of 3u. Not wanting to cut my losses, it continued to decline until I lost 10u. Then I just waited for a rebound, unaware that the bottom could be limitless. After two or three days, it was directly cut in half.
I don't intend to sell this one; I'll just leave it there as a constant reminder.
"Doge" refers to scummy guys and girls; you can only enter and exit quickly, without getting emotionally attached. When it's not the right time, you must decisively exit!!!
