Asset management company Standard Chartered predicts that the price of BNB, the ecosystem token of Binance, could double this year.
According to the research report, this asset management company expects the price of BNB to rise to about $1,275 per token by the end of 2025 and up to $2,775 by the end of 2028.
According to data from Bitcoin Magazine, as of May 6, BNB was trading at nearly $60, with a fully diluted market cap (FDV) of about $85 billion.

"BNB has traded almost exactly in line with the trends of Bitcoin and Ethereum since May 2021 in terms of both returns and volatility," Geoff Kendrick, an analyst at Standard Chartered, wrote in a research note.
"We expect this relationship to continue, pushing the price of BNB from the current approximately $600 to $2,775 by the end of 2028."
The 'classic' network
BNB is the native token of Binance BNB Chain, a layer-1 (L1) blockchain network linked to the world's largest centralized exchange (CEX).
BNB Chain has less developer activity than L1s like Ethereum or Avalanche, and its ecosystem is relatively "outdated," Standard Chartered noted.

More than 60% of on-chain economic activity in the network is related to decentralized exchanges (DEX), compared to a more diverse range on other L1s.
However, the asset management company noted that this could also serve as a stabilizing force for BNB Chain.
"Assuming Binance remains one of the largest CEXs, the drivers of BNB are unlikely to change in the near future," Geoff Kendrick stated.
"With this, we see BNB having the potential to serve as a benchmark or average for digital asset prices in general," he added.
BNB Chain is the 4th largest L1, with a total value locked (TVL) of nearly $6 million, according to data from DeFiLlama.
On May 5th, asset management company VanEck filed for listing the first BNB ETF in the United States.
