Good news! Good news! The latest Alpha from Lisbon! 🥳

Gavin Wood just announced at the JAM event in Lisbon that the JAM white paper is progressing towards v1.0, and the M1 phase will officially kick off this June! 🛠️

Not sure what M1 is — it's the first major milestone in the JAM development 👀

More specifically, this is the proof that the JAM implementation teams (those 38 teams) need to show that their nodes can correctly read blocks, follow protocol rules, and execute the core logic of JAM. If they fail this test, it’s game over 👀

Because, regardless of which path you choose (be it a validating node, light node, or non-PVM node), M1 is the foundation for all future rewards — including audits, DOT rewards, and eligibility to join the Fellowship!

Teams that successfully pass M1 can nominate a developer to advance to a level III member of the @Polkadot Fellowship — this represents a formal entry into the core circle of ecological governance 😎

So, let's look forward to it! Let's see how many teams can achieve the M1 goal this June! 🏄‍♀️
