How I Lost $100 in a Pre-Market Coin Scam – Learn from My Mistake! 😞
When Binance announces a new coin listing, (WCT) we all want that early entry for max gains. But here's how scammers take advantage of the hype — and how I got burned:
💰 The Trap:
Before the official launch, I searched the coin name in my wallet (like Trust Wallet or MetaMask), found a match (WCT), and swapped my USDT thinking I was early.
😨 The Reality:
That token had the same name, but it was fake — created by a scammer. No real backing, zero liquidity. I lost $100 instantly.
Token was pumping at high 1100%
🔐 Lesson Learned – Always follow this checklist:
✅ Never buy tokens just by name — names can be copied, contracts can’t.
🔗 Only trust the official contract address from Binance or CoinMarketCap.
🔍 Check the contract on BscScan (or Etherscan) — look for real holders, transaction activity, and liquidity.
🚨 If there are no real holders or suspicious distribution, it's a red flag.
🕵️♂️ Wait for the official listing — a few minutes of patience can save your portfolio.
