Indonesia has suspended the local operating license of World Network and the services of WorldID due to reports of suspicious activities related to the platform. The country's Ministry of Digital Technology announced that it will summon PT. Terang Bulan Abadi and PT. Sandina Abadi Nusantara, two local entities linked to the operations of World Network and WorldID in Indonesia. According to preliminary investigations, PT. Terang Bulan Abadi is not officially registered to operate digital services. It was also found that Worldcoin was using a registration belonging to another company.
Alexander Sabar, Director General of Digital Space Supervision, pointed out that non-compliance with registration obligations and the use of another legal entity to operate a digital service constitutes serious violations. He also urged citizens to remain vigilant against unauthorized digital services and to report any alleged violations immediately through official reporting channels.
