Several Thoughts on Airdrop Strategies
Traditional methods of earning through airdrops may no longer be effective, just like the early days of web2. The early benefits of earning airdrops through task testing are disappearing.
The changes in airdrop distribution this year have made me anxious and have led me to rethink my strategies. One approach is to continue the traditional method of completing tasks while also transitioning to content creation and placing greater emphasis on the roles and status of social platforms like #kaito and #ethos, thereby increasing the weight of social engagement. The second approach is to start tracking alpha [although I missed out on the latecomer benefits], focusing on the influence and value of exchanges in the crypto space.
Here are several key areas I will focus on in my future airdrop strategies:
1. Emphasize exchange activities: Binance has strong bargaining power and market-making capabilities, meaning project teams don't need to rely on retail investors' limited data; exposure and user acquisition can be fully managed. Bybit and OKX have likely noticed the popularity of Binance's airdrops and their attractiveness to the market, hence their recent frequent actions. Of course, Binance may constantly change its strategies, and the format of alpha airdrops may also evolve; being inflexible may cause one to fall behind, but the focus should be on valuing exchanges comprehensively.
2. Value social engagement: #kaito is like a golden shovel, with numerous projects like @QuaiNetwork, #BOOP, #Wayfinder, and @Calderaxyz having already airdropped large amounts to kaito users. Many prominent members of the kaito community, such as @banditxbt and @waleswoosh, have also shared their substantial airdrop gains. Focusing on a few key airdrops could be as valuable as completing 10 or even 100 task accounts, and the currently popular platform #ethos has pushed the value of personal accounts and social attributes to the extreme.
3. Mining projects and self-sustaining projects should be viewed positively; AVAX nodes yield 10-20% annually, and Solana is even more aggressive—running nodes ensures steady profits!
What do you think, guys? #Airdrop #Alpha
