“If this update is approved, Bitcoin is dead,” says Ocean executive
The executive from Ocean, Luke Dashjr, expressed concern about the proposed update BIP-300, known as "Drivechains". He believes that if approved, this change could compromise the security of Bitcoin, allowing miners to divert funds to parallel chains without the consent of the users. Dashjr considers the proposal a threat to the decentralization and integrity of the network, stating that its implementation could "kill" Bitcoin.
