1. The origin story of Binance.
Binance was born out of a poker game.
More specifically, CZ learned about Bitcoin in 2013 during a home poker game. From then on, he became intrigued by cryptocurrencies and the potential they offered, and he began gaining hands-on experience with a cryptocurrency wallet provider and within the cryptocurrency market. Eventually, in July 2017, he launched Binance.
The rest, as they say, is history.
2. We have a philanthropic area called Binance Charity.
Fun fact: as a tribute to our origin story, we held a charity poker tournament in 2019. Through this event, made possible by Binance Charity, we raised over 170,000 USD and provided solar panels and school supplies to 15 schools in Uganda.
Binance Charity is dedicated to driving transformative action through cryptocurrency donations, repurposing emerging technology as tools for philanthropy and investing in blockchain innovation, as well as development and research, for the greater good.
Aside from the charity poker tournament, Binance Charity has continued to leverage cryptocurrencies to carry out its missions, such as using NFT for Good and ensuring a fast, easy, and transparent donation process through the merits of blockchain technology.

3. Our founder is a big nerd.

Our CEO and founder is a big nerd who ensures that education is the driving force of Binance.
One of Binance Charity's missions, Education for Strong Foundations, is dedicated to raising funds to help children access education. Our charity projects have raised money to fund renovations at His Grace School to provide a better learning environment. Lunch for Children is another project where anyone can donate to provide meals for children.
Binance Academy, created in 2018, is a free resource hub for cryptocurrency and blockchain education for the general public. This year we increased efforts to promote learning worldwide with the launch of the Learn and Earn series, a program that rewards students for increasing their knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Binance Blog also keeps our readers informed about the latest happenings in the cryptocurrency space. With over 1,500 published articles, Binance Blog covers a wide range of topics, including cryptocurrency philosophies, real-world use cases, opinion pieces, and Binance's own products and services.
This February, we also started a journey to educate about blockchain and cryptocurrencies in Africa to help promote literacy around these topics.

4. You can watch live streams directly in your Binance app.
Did you know that we have several free conferences accessible to all Binance users? The Binance app is not just a platform for accessing cryptocurrencies; you can also watch free live streams of our Blockchain Week conferences and other cool cryptocurrency events.

5. You’ve probably heard of WORDLE, but do you know WODL?
