**Solana Foundation Fixes Critical Zero-Day Vulnerability**

The Solana Foundation has successfully patched a critical zero-day vulnerability in its network’s confidential transfer feature. Discovered on April 16, the issue was quickly resolved within two days through coordinated efforts with validators.

The flaw was found in the ZK proof system used for verifying private transfers of **Token-2022 standard tokens**. If exploited, attackers could have forged proofs to mint unlimited tokens or steal from user accounts.

To ensure security, the foundation delayed disclosure until the fix was fully deployed. Fortunately, there’s no evidence of exploitation, and all user funds remain safe. The confidential transfer feature, though operational for some time, currently sees limited usage.
