The European Union has decided that anonymity in cryptocurrencies is overstated, so starting from July 1, 2027, new rules will apply. Monero, Zcash, Dash, and other cryptocurrencies that prefer to hide are now listed as unsafe currencies. Any transaction exceeding 1000 euros will require a full 'Know Your Customer' process - including a passport, a personal photo with your cat, and perhaps your grandmother's favorite recipe
