Following the tragic attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply escalated. The brutal nature of the incident has captured international attention, with growing global concern.
Surprisingly, several Muslim-majority nations are aligning with India — not out of religious preference, but in pursuit of diplomatic, economic, and regional interests. Nations such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar appear more focused on maintaining stability and safeguarding trade partnerships than showing traditional alignment with Pakistan.
Turkey and Iran have adopted a more measured tone. While Turkey is signaling cautious support through diplomatic language, Iran has taken a mediatory stance, calling for restraint and offering to facilitate peace talks between the two South Asian neighbors.
