#欧盟隐私币禁令 😳

#EU takes a big move! Is the end of privacy coins coming? Will your crypto wallet be 'inspected' in 2027?

1. The EU is serious this time! Is the death sentence issued for privacy coins?

Starting from July 1, 2027, the EU will completely ban privacy coins like Monero, Zcash, Dash, and even mixing services, which are known as 'money laundering machines', will be eliminated! This is no joke—the EU Parliament just passed the Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR) which effectively sentenced anonymous transactions to 'life imprisonment'.

Think about it, Monero's ring signature technology and Zcash's zero-knowledge proofs, these 'black technologies' that once delighted hackers and money launderers, have now become ticking time bombs on the road to compliance. What's even more extreme is that while self-custody wallets aren't directly banned, as long as a transfer exceeds 1,000 euros, exchanges will have to strip you of your identity information like a household registration check: name, address, source of funds—none of it can escape!

The market reaction is even more surreal: as soon as the news broke, the prices of privacy coins plummeted, but the next day, Monero actually rose by 5%! This operation made investors exclaim, 'The stricter the regulation, the stronger the faith.' However, experts warn that this is just the calm before the storm—once the deadline hits in 2027, these coins will either change their appearance or completely fade away.

2. Self-custody wallets: superficially free, but actually under constant surveillance

Do self-custody wallet users think they can escape a disaster? Naive! The new regulation requires exchanges to perform 'Customer Due Diligence' (CDD) on every transfer from a self-custody wallet. For example: if you transfer 1 Bitcoin (about 300,000 yuan) from a cold wallet to an exchange, the exchange will immediately activate 'manual search' mode—requiring you to upload your ID, bank statement, and even asking you to take a video to prove it was you who made the transaction.
