Honestly, I don't understand how some people think that $XRP will reach 500 dollars. I don't know what they are relying on for this or from what perspective they are analyzing.
Let's do some simple math. The current market cap is 129.14 billion dollars, and the circulating supply is 58.5 billion, which gives us the current price.
Now let's assume the market cap doubles — which is actually unrealistic — and reaches 260 billion dollars, and the entire supply is opened. Even in this case, the price would barely be 2.60 dollars.
Now assume that the circulating supply remains the same (58.5B), and the market cap continues to reach 260 billion dollars. In this case, XRP would only reach 4.44 dollars.
Now let's face the “500 dollars” audience by thinking of a price target of 10 dollars. For that to happen with the full supply, XRP would need a market cap of one trillion dollars, and the price would be around 10.001 dollars. Okay, now let's push further — we keep the supply the same and push the market cap to one trillion dollars. Even in this case, XRP would only reach 17.09 dollars.
So again, on what basis do people think that XRP will reach 500 dollars? Just on the word “adoption”?
Let's be realistic — a market cap of one trillion dollars for #XRP alone? When the total market cap of cryptocurrencies is around 3 trillion dollars? That is not only unrealistic — it’s ridiculous.
