Coinbase to delist five tokens amid token upgrades - find out if you hold any!
Coinbase, one of the most trusted and regulated cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, announced that it will suspend trading for five tokens, including Galxe (GAL), Litentry (Lit), Mines of Dalarnia (DAR), Orion Protocol (ORN), and Parsiq (PRQ). The trading suspension will officially begin on May 16, 2025, at around 2 PM Eastern Time across all Coinbase platforms, coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime. Why are these tokens being delisted? According to Coinbase, this decision is not related to poor performance or security issues. Instead, it is about token migrations. Each of these projects, Gal, Lit, Dar, Orn, and PRQ, has released new versions of their tokens. This means that the original versions listed on Coinbase are now considered outdated and no longer meet the platform's listing standards. Coinbase is very concerned about keeping things safe, reliable, and clear for its users. When tokens undergo major upgrades or transition to new contracts, old factors can cause problems or cease to function well. That is why Coinbase is removing these old tokens from trading.
