The number of cryptocurrency investors in 2025 reaches the number of internet users in 2002 with 650 million people
A recent report revealed that the number of cryptocurrency owners worldwide currently stands at no less than 560 million people, which is the same number of internet users in 2002, as the number of crypto owners is rising significantly.
Men make up nearly 61% of them, while women account for about 39%, and 34% of cryptocurrency owners are young people aged between 25 and 34 years, highlighting the growing appeal of crypto assets among younger generations.
India still ranks first in the Global Cryptocurrency Adoption Index for 2024, followed closely by Nigeria and Indonesia, while the United States holds the fourth position.
