In my hand is the red flag with a yellow star Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a Communist country that I used to hate.
I am the 47th President of the United States of America. As I continue to Make America Great Again, there is a country in Southeast Asia that is becoming Great Again. That is Vietnam.
They were great before America was born. In their history, they were invaded by the North, South, West and East at least 20 times, but they won all 20 times. They were the only people who defeated the army of the most powerful Mongol Empire on Earth 3 times in the 13th century. They were the only people who drove out 4 superpowers: China, France, Japan and America from their country in the 20th century.
It seemed like they would hate the nations that had caused so much pain and suffering to their people for generations... But no! They put the past behind them and established a comprehensive, friendly, and peaceful strategic partnership. That is the character of a great people and a great nation.
Since the 21st century. They are coming back from the ashes of war. They are now ranked 34th out of 260 countries and territories in terms of economic strength. They are ranked 22nd out of 145 countries surveyed in terms of global military strength from the position of 0 in 1945 when they gained independence. That is the great rise of their nation.
Vietnam is great! While the world is going crazy because of political crisis, geopolitics, war, civil war, economic decline... their society is peaceful, the economy has the second highest growth rate in the world, over 7%/2024.
They are becoming great again as thousands of famous scientists on the planet are being considered by them to award the world's largest Vinfutre Prize for scientific works that change human life.
They are becoming great again as the world's giant economic and technology corporations come to do business with them. Recently, NVIDIA, the number 1 Artificial Intelligence Technology company in the US and the world, has chosen them as their second home for AI research, development, and training because of their great potential human resources.
They are great again by streamlining the government apparatus, merging provinces. In an unprecedented revolution, the country is shaken up in an orderly manner, pleasing the people.
They are one of the few nations that cannot be defeated in both war and peace.
