The first case in U.S. history of Bitcoin entering state-level strategic reserves has emerged.
The legislative body passed the Senate bill with a high vote of 37 to 19. And this state is Arizona.
This is a milestone progress for Bitcoin's official status and has excited the global cryptocurrency market.
However, we cannot rejoice too early, because this bill still lacks the final critical step, which is the governor's signature
for it to take effect. If it takes effect, according to regulations, up to 10% of Arizona's public revenue
can be used to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Based on last year's state financial report of $31.7 billion,
this would result in $3.17 billion of new funds entering the crypto market. If the bill passes,
not only will Arizona become the first state in the U.S. to include BTC in official reserves, but it may also trigger a chain reaction of
other states following suit. The fate of this bill is currently in the hands of the governor.
He currently has three options: the first is to sign the bill for it to officially take effect, pioneering state-level cryptocurrency reserves.
The second option is to veto the bill.
The third option is to do nothing, in which case the bill will automatically
take effect after five working days.
In short, the governor's decision will become a policy barometer affecting the global crypto market. Currently,
despite the bill being very favorable, the price of Bitcoin has only slightly risen, reaching
$97,424 last night without a significant surge. I believe there are three main reasons.
First, the bill is still with the governor and has not been officially signed, so the market is
still holding a wait-and-see attitude towards the final outcome.
Second: The recent trading volume of Bitcoin is also relatively low, and the market sentiment is still cautious.
Third: The most important data is the U.S. GDP figures to be released on April 30, as well as those for May and June.
The expectation of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates may bring significant market fluctuations in the future, so many players
are choosing to hedge in advance. The final result will be revealed soon; do you think Bitcoin will officially be included in state
strategic reserves? ##数字资产法案 ##加密市场反弹
