✨U.S. Congressman Proposes Installing Cryptocurrency ATMs in Federal Buildings
On May 1, 2025, Representative Lance Gooden (Texas) sent an official letter to Mr. Stephen Ehikian, acting administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), proposing the consideration of installing cryptocurrency ATMs in federal buildings across the United States.
In the letter, Gooden emphasized that this initiative aligns with the GSA's mission to promote innovation and improve public service infrastructure.
He wrote:
“Providing access to cryptocurrency ATMs in federal buildings will help ensure that public spaces reflect modern financial technology trends and support the diverse financial needs of the people.”
According to Gooden, financial technology is rapidly evolving, bringing convenience and accessibility to citizens. Cryptocurrency—though still in the development stage—has become an important part of the global financial ecosystem. Many individuals currently use digital assets for both personal and professional transactions.
