Recently, I just completed the Kaito airdrop, and the whole process felt quite special. For the first time, I felt that "task-based airdrops" could be this interesting and smooth, so let me share my personal experience with you👇
I first saw the news about the Kaito airdrop on Twitter. The official tweet was very clean and straightforward, looking unlike those projects that "trick you into retweeting without giving you tokens" (yes, I've been scammed and I'm scared 😂).
After entering the official website and connecting my wallet, the tasks were roughly divided into several parts:
• Follow their X (formerly known as Twitter), retweet specified content
• Join the Discord community and complete simple interactions
• Answer some quizzes about the project (I actually learned quite a bit about AI+Web3 during this part, it broadened my horizons)
After completing these, you can see "points" and can increase your quota by referring others (though I'm not too keen on this, it feels too utilitarian). I think what Kaito does differently is: the tasks themselves are meaningful, not just completing KPIs, but like gradually "understanding the project". While you are completing the tasks, you actually get a better concept of what it will do in the future, why it is issuing tokens, and the product logic.
Here's a little thoughtful advice for everyone:
• Create a "dedicated wallet for airdrops", do not use your main wallet (this is super important)
• Be cautious about browser plugin security, do not authorize recklessly
• Pay more attention to community announcements, as some hidden tasks are only known to old users!
Tokens have not been issued yet, but the overall process experience was very good. Kaito is the most comfortable and the most like a "serious matter" airdrop I've done recently～
