The payment giant recently announced a partnership with Nuvei, #Circle and Paxos. The goal? To enable merchants in the Mastercard network to accept payments in crypto (more specifically, payments in stablecoins). This initiative is expected to facilitate the integration of crypto assets into everyday transactions. And that's not all! It also aims to reduce the barriers between fiat and digital currencies.
According to the statement released by Mastercard on April 28, 150 million merchants worldwide will now be able to receive payments in stablecoins (regardless of the payment method used by the consumer).
