#AirdropSafetyGuide Not all airdrops are worth the hype. Some are just traps.
Here’s how I stay SAFU in the airdrop world:
Red Flags I Notice:
Suspicious or unverified websites
No clear team or whitepaper
Smart contracts that require full token approval
Urgent tactics like “claim now or miss out” — classic pressure scams
How I Verify Projects:
I check on-chain data through BSCScan or Etherscan
I look at community feedback on X (Twitter) and Telegram
I search for project audit reports and team credibility
Scam Tactics I’ve Encountered:
Fake MetaMask popups asking for seed phrases
“Airdrop” claims that drain wallets after approval
Tokens appearing unsolicited in my wallet — I never touch them
Airdrops I Avoid:
I passed on a recent fake “LayerZero” airdrop. The website looked real, but its contract had no source code and strange approval functions. Avoided a big problem.
Stay vigilant — free tokens shouldn’t drain your entire wallet.
