Securities and Exchange Commission

(SEC) in approving several

cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds

(ETFs) for altcoins. On April 29, 2025,

the SEC extended its decision deadlines

for multiple proposed ETFs, including

those for XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana

(SOL), Hedera (HBAR), and Polkadot

(DOT), citing the need for additional time

to evaluate the proposals and address

regulatory issues. For instance, Franklin

Templeton's spot XRP ETF now has a

decision deadline of June 17, 2025,

while Bitwise's Dogecoin ETF has been

postponed to June 15, 2025 . Despite

these delays, analysts suggest that such

extensions are standard procedure and

do not necessarily indicate rejection,
