El Salvador under President Bukele accepted the use of bitcoin as a legal tender as well as setting up bitcoin reserves. When this happened, it was a welcome development, as a great nod to the cryptocurrency market that it was making moves in the positive direction and also shown that people, even governments were trust tokens as a means to transfer and hold value, which is a key part of considering an item to be currency.
Arizona is following suit, well on its way to becoming the first US state to hold bitcoin reserves. This would also be a welcome development and as more governments and their sub-regional government begin to accumulate holdings in bitcoin which would cause it to rally in the short and long term.
Looking forward to seeing more countries and their states hold bitcoin reserves, this would drive the expectation that bitcoin would surpass its target price of 500,000USD by 2030.
